Life as Analogous to Code
I am sitting here, drinking some great African Autumn tea by Harney and Sons and working on some coding.
You know you’ve been working on coding a lot when you start going through life and thinking of it analogous to code. For example, how many things are set up like an if statement, if this happens, then execute this. I thought of this when I was driving, as I often am for my mobile job teaching music and yoga to preschoolers. When you turn on the turn signal, the signal continues to flash until the wheel returns to the original position it was in. There are of course many other examples, but this is just one I thought of.
I love chillout music. Like Nujabes and J Dilla, especially to study too. I have found some great youtube mixes for this sort of style to code to, here is an awesome one that runs 24 hours a day, you end up hearing a lot of the same tracks but they are all really good, lots of great jazz samples. Food for tonight is pretty boring but one of my favorites. Rice and beans at Baja Fresh, loaded up with some fresh pico de gallo and chili salsa. I love their roasted tomato salsa baja, I can eat that stuff by the bowl!
